Μεγάλο σουξέ η Katy Perry. Ανακοινώθηκαν οι υποψηφιότητες των φετινών MTV Video music awards που θα διεξαχθούν στις 28 Αυγούστου στο Los Angeles και η Lady Gaga θα σηκωθεί από την fake αναπηρική καρέκλα και θα εμφανιστεί μέσα σε φέρετρο από τη στεναχώρια που είναι υποψήφια μόνο σε τρεις κατηγορίες κι όχι στις μισές τουλάχιστον.
Το όνομα της Perry υπάρχει σε εννιά κατηγορίες, δηλαδή στις περισσότερες απ' όλους με τον Kanye West ν’ ακολουθεί με εφτά (έχουν και την κοινή υποψηφιότητα για το βίντεο κλιπ του ET) ενώ η Adele τερματίζει με έξι. Ο Tyler the creator είναι ο καλύτερος του χωριού αφού παρ όλες τις αρνητικές κριτικές σχετικά με τη συμπεριφορά και τους στίχους της Odd Future συμμορίας είναι μέσα στους υποψήφιους για το Best video of the year με το (ευφυές) κομμάτι "Yonkers" όπως επίσης μες τις εκπλήξεις είναι οι Manchester Orchestra στην κατηγορία Best editing και οι Foster for the people που διεκδικούν το βραβείο Best new artist και η περιβόητη Kreayshawn με το Gucci Gucci.
